Whether you are a seasoned activist or curious to learn more about our city and the decisions that shape our day to day lives there is always opportunity to learn more about the factors that make cities Livable. We have collected some recommended reading materials to help you better understand our mission
Nearly 40,000 Americans are killed in acts of traffic violence every year, with millions more suffering life-altering injuries. This is due to a culture and street design that prioritizes driver convenience and vehicle throughput over saving lives. We must reorient our street design and change the culture of driver behavior to make walking and biking safe, easy, and accessible to all, including the young, elderly, and disabled.
We encourage you to join the ConnectiCUT Book Club focusing on the intersection of Climate-Urbanism-Transportation issues.
